Same But Different!

I saw this layout in Impressions, the newsletter Stampin' Up! Demonstrators receive each quarter. It is only recently that I am challenging myself to do something with what I read from it.

When I saw this layout, I ~~liked~~ LOVED it! Those of you who know me, realise that I need lots of colour and 'wow' on my pages, I struggle with pretty and quiet....

So having said all that, I almost completely copied this page. I changed a couple of items simply because I don't have the stamp set or embellishments used, but I think mine still works!

Inks: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizazz.
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Pumpkin Pie
Stamp Sets:Every Moment.
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Adhesives, Dimensionals, Rhinestone Brads, Big Shot, Top Note Cutting Die.

Well once I got the Scrappin' bug again, (It's taken me since Friday to get to the table and now it's late on Sunday..) I decided to also make a page with a different theme. I often have customers say that they either get stuck on new ideas to re-vamp a page or can't work out how to change it for the other gender for a family member..

So, here is another page, same layout almost, but different.
All I changed is the Designer Paper to Blueberry Crisp, therefore all the colours are already co-ordinated, Stampin' Up! are well known for that...too easy really!

Inks: Pacific Point andNot Quite Navy.
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Whisper White and Not Quite Navy with Blueberry Crisp DSP.
Stamp sets: Party Hearty and So Happy For You.
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Adhesives, Dimensionals, Rhinestone Brads, Big Shot, Top Note Cutting Die.

So I am off now, to think of more layouts...I pulled about 6 other photos while hunting for these, hopefully I will be as successful with those!

Can you believe or imagine my excitement when I received an email telling me this little blog is featured at http://scrapbooklayoutsideas.com/blog_awards/index.php?id=22569.

I have won a blog award for this site, acknowledging my work AND their site has at least 20 000 visits per month, how exciting!! If that isn't going to make me pull up my socks and work harder for my followers, nothing will, lol!

Fundraising for Sarah Jane

Once again, Stampin' Up! are supporting the local community by providing another box of amazing goodies for Sj's Fundraising Market Day. Today I have been put my head down and bum up to begin making more wonderfull things to sell at the Market Day, in order to support SJ, her family and school.

Sj is the little girl in the photo, on the link and she has cerebral palsy, autism and an intellectual disability as well as scoliosis and hip displaysia.

Despite from all that, her smile is a beautiful one!

With her in my mind, I began today by making this:

A box that has its own 'wow' factor!

This is made with the Blueberry Crisp DSP and I am stunned with the result. I love how it came together!

It is made from one peice of Kraft 12 X 12 cardstock, 8 pieces of matching cardstock, DSP and embellishments. (Easy peasy, as a friend says!)

The gorgeous Rhinestones finishes it off with a bit of sparkle..

When the lid is open, it will reveal the internal box and a gift for that special person!

I also made another one from the Greenhouse Gala DSP but I think this one is my fav..what do you think?

Clean & Simple Stamping..

Here is a card I made after looking around for cards to case..Im trying to get ready for Mother's Day, but I left my MoJo in the Grand Canyon I think...any way, Mel Sharp gave me the details for Clean & Simple where sketches are put up and you are challenged to make something from it.

It is a great way to get you moving and thinking...and more importantly, stampin!!!!!

I have used the Cottage Garden DSP from the 08-09 mini, the Manhatten embossing folder and Afterthoughts stamp set, a hostess gift.

Up, Up and Away!!

Did you miss me? I have been lucky enough to be jet setting with my family for my Sister's wedding in Las Vegas! We travelled for a few weeks, visiting Los Angeles, Anaheim Disneyland and then onto Las Vegas for Brooke and Mark's Wedding, which was simple, but beautiful!

We also went to The Grand Canyon, which cannot be truly explained or fairly described...but you can see the photo of me on the edge of it here...aghghghg!!

Then we went onto San Francisco, which is completely another world again. I now have so many photos to scrap, you will be the lucky ones to see them first...after I unpack and put the house back into order, of course!

From Your Friends In Australia.

It is with so much sadness that we see the images coming from Christchurch after they have already had so much to deal with over the past 6 months. Now with the earthquake having caused so much damage and pain, there is much work to be done to mend broken hearts and buildings.

I am lucky enough to be apart of an amazing group of women who are Demonstrators for the family of Stampin' Up! and we communicate on a site called "ESAD" (Extra Special Australiasian Demonstrators). Here we discuss craft techniques, new stamp sets and embellishments, as well as life, children, husbands, teenagers and recipes! The support I get from these women, many of whom I have never met, is the most fantastic "Mothers Group" I could be apart of, in this type of setting.

Having said all that, we are now banding together to help our fellow Demonstrators in New Zealand, particularly Christchurch by sending cards with love to them. These cards have "Thinking of you at this difficult time. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, From your friends in Australia".

Here is the cards that I am sending off today, knowing that they will be handed out by Vicki, to those that need our love.

If you have a need and yearn to help, I am happy to organise a get-together so that we can send more cards off...

How Versatile is Stampin' Up!

2 of my children and I actually got some time to sit and make some cards and this is what they came up with. Rachelle decided to make a card for some special friends of ours that love tooooo far away, but always in our thoughts.

She began with the All In The Family set and made the family according to the family who is getting this card, no hints yet.... She liked the Elegant Soiree DSP paper I was using, so stole some for the background of her card. Ta da, this is her finished product!!

Kyle, my 8 year old, wanted to play after he discovered the Party Hearty stamp set. When he saw how the hats all line up, he immediately wanted to put people under them! (My future brother-In-Law's birthday party is tonight, so Kyle was on a mission!)

He used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and carefully worked through the people until he was happy with them!

This shows how versatile it is to use this fantastic tool! I'd be happy to show you at your next workshop...you could even earn it as one of the free products, this would compliment the stamp sets from the Sale-a-Bration promotion!

Kyle then discovered the accessories set that are perfect for All In The Family and decided to add some detail. He finished with a dot of the glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on the pom poms of the hats....After a while, Kyle finally came up for air and said: I don't want to do too much, it will be too busy then...

If only I had followed that rule at times, mate!! Here is the finished product, which Mark will love!

While this was going on, I managed to finish this card for Mark. I saw this technique on Gretchen's site, of working with the top few layers of the card and putting them all through the Big Shot with the Lattice Embossing Folder.

I'm thinking I'm going to use this technique often!!

Now, as you know, the year is well and truly into 2011 and this is my first post of the year...don't question it, just accept it and read on, thankyou kindly XXX. I am very eager to make more posts and hope to have you all very interested and entertained with what I have planned here this year.

Firstly, it is important to me, to recognise the amazing work by Steph Gray, from the ESAD group I am apart of. She scored me when we took part in the Secret Santa at the end of last year. Steph sent me many amazing creations, but I think my favourite is the largest of the bags. Sometimes I think if it is big, it is difficult to make it look complete without over doing it, but Steph certainly showed how clever she is with this one!

Along with a dairy, I received chocolates in one bag and coffee satchels in the chocolate chip box..she knows me well!! (And, yes, they are gone!)

This is a great idea, also made by Steph for me. Each page has an area for a photo and then, tucked behind is a large tag for writing what has occurred throughout that month that was worthy of a family photo. It could be as simple as a movie night at home with pop-corn or it may be the family photo we are taking in March to America for my sister's Wedding!

At the end of 2011, I have a monthly record of the year! How fantastic!

AND if this wasn't enough, my three children received chocolate money in a beautuful box made of Designer paper! Did you hear them screaming in excitement? And tucked in the front of the photo are Mini Misters, used for spraying cardstock with Shimmer paint, one of our new products, that give the most gorgeous shine of glitter. Steph remembered my birthday, which is the week before Christmas and she made me an acetate box - with more chocolate!!!

I love the Stampin' Up! family! Thankyou Steph, you are a great friend and are very thoughful with your gifts..

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators and it is an online group just for Australian and New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin’ Up!

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how and cyberstamps and we are always there to help and support each other when its needed.

Here is my first item to show you... a scrap page, of course!!

This page is made from Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive cardstock, Old Olive Satin Ribbon and Jolly Holiday DSP.

Although it can't be seen very well, I have also used Cherry Cobbler ink and Dazzling Diamonds with Heat'n'Stick powder, with the Snow Swirled stamp set.

This is a page I have made before, just updated the presentation for the new catalogue that became available on the 1st of September!!

So many goodies...let's look on...

I found the idea for this small album when looking for something else...does that happen to you?

This is an album with 7 double pages, that when opened, displays a Christmas Star. I decided to make it into a recipe book for a friend, (that is why there isn't alot of details for is shown), and will send it off soon. she just may look here today, so don't tell her it's for her!

Have I told you how I have learnt to love this stamp set? This little dear is on the front cover and is the most used of the Forest Friends stamp set, especially with the Brads for the Rudolph nose!! Too cute!

One of the recipes that is making me drool is Chocolate Chip Brownies...yum! As you can see, I have used many stamps from various sets, DSP and other embellishments to make it special for the receiver.

I saw the first of these cards in a Scrap shop and took a photo, ages ago...finally I have made one similar. I was impressed how easy this was to make and I used most of the scraps that I had!! Gotta be happy with that!

I was a bit 'all thumbs' when doing it, but Tom-Bow is becoming a friend of mine, (although there weren't any sleeves stuck on tables)..

There are 12 peices of DSP making the bow, then three circle punches and Silver Embossing Powder.

This is a card that will be hand delivered, due to the size of the bow exceeding the card, but it will be loved!

Here is a bon-bon I made after seeing one of the ESAD site and once I lost two peices of DSP due to not reading it properly, I managed to follow the directions correctly.

While simple in presentation, I love its effect..

I posted something similar here in one of my last posts, a lolly or gift bag, using the Top Note die and two punches.

This is made with the Jolly Holiday DSP again, but all the projects look so different that I don't get tired of it!

I found this a really quick and easy, (queesy!!) project that gives great results for someone special.

My Secret Sister!!

These beautiful cards are ones that I have received from my Secret Sister, a group I am apart of within the ESAD group.

The idea of this group is to send cards and presents to another participant, while trying not to reveal who you are to them.

The excitement I get when I have Happy Mail is fantastic and contagious. Who would not be happy when they recieve something as beautiful as this?

These cards and gifts are often different to what you would make yourself and I often check myself when I am trying to work out how the latest arrival is made and put together...lol.

This chocolate slider is a great idea. When you pull the ribbon up, it pulls up the block of chocolate too!!

Here is a small brag book, which screamed for my girlfriend and I to be in there!!

I need to wait until the end of October til I can ask my fantastic Secret Sister how she made these for me, ho hum...

These make for great brag books for Nanna's or special occasions..

I believe this card is made from Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Pink Silouette cardstock and Inks, then stamped with Pocket Silouette, a peice of ribbon and a gorgeous card is presented!

This card intrigues me, as to how it was all put together.. does the ribbon go on first or the layers of cardstock...mmmm...

Now, I have to be honest with you...in the catalogue, this stamp set did not grab me when I first saw it, but this is stunning!!

The mix of ink and Dazzling Diamonds makes this card amazing..and reasonably simple and clean.

This Stepper Box arrived last week while I was making all the boxes and gifts for the fundraiser...it arrived with a box of Malteesers, yum and ribbon in each step as it opens...

This is how it opens...amazing!! Each step had a peice of ribbon in it, in the new colours!!

Stunning!

What more can I say, but thankyou to my Secret Sister..not long til the reveal...

Girls Night In..

Well, finally the day arrived for the Girls Night In in support for the Cancer Council's fundraising events during October.

These are some of the gifts that I prepared for the raffles and door prizes, there was sooo much to choose from!!

It is here that I again, need to thank Steph, Aly, Peta, Melissa, Monique and Leonie for their support while I prepared for the day. All the women on the ESAD site are fantastic and make me feel very special.

Don't you love these Sticky Note holders? They are incredibly easy to make, so if you would like me to show you how, let me know. They are very economical to make using cardstock, DSP, a little bit of ribbon and they look stunning!

So the car was packed, the thankyou to Stampin' Up! flyer was printed and my clothes looked great!

All we needed was the people to turn up...and despite all the work that everyone put in, there wasn't as many people as we expected.

We all had fun looking at each other's stall and learning about other ways to present when demonstrating or dealing with customers...but we weren't there to socialise, we wanted customers.

Finishing on a happy note, my daughter and I had fun making these gorgeous note books to sell..and while they didn't, I won't forget the afternoon we spent making them together.

Rachelle, (9), has shown her creative side when showing me how to make the owl's fly to land on the branch or hide behind the tree..all done with the 2 Step Owl Punch and the Bird Punch.

Thankyou for a great afternoon Rachelle, you make me proud to be your mum!

I Am Sooo Lucky!!

I wrote a small message on the ESAD group telling the girls about the Fundaraiser I am taking part in for the Cancer Council and also asking them if there was anything they were happy to part with, I would be happy to offer this as part of the stall.

Imagine my surprise when I got home from being stuck in "Dodgy Brothers Hotel" car-park with an over heated engine and 4 hot children, to find these beautifully made items!!

Steph and Aly have spent many hours making these fantastic boxes, cards, flowers and items with the retired colours, hopefully making some room on their desks for all the new and exciting stamps and colours from the new catalogue.

Steph made these gorgeous cards that are inked once on the stamp and then stamped onto the cardstock three times, without re-inking. The Whisper White was also embossed using the Polka Dot folder with the Big Shot.

These boxes just scream to be filled with something yummy for a friend. The large boxes have "Just for you - So you dont have to share!" and the small boxes are the current dies for the Big Shot - Box No. 2. Aren't they great?

A little bit of DSP to match and finished with a stunning flower made by Aly completes the parcel!

These flowers are the ones above - just closer...can you believe that the brown ones are made from the packing paper that SU! use to fill a box so that items don't bash around? Another great resource of free paper that looks great!

With so many wonderful things to sell, I'm hoping the Cancer Council do really well out of the afternoon!

This is the right time to say a big thankyou to Steph and Aly for the time and love they put into these items. I loved getting some special to 'oooh' and 'aaaghh' over, but it's the Cancer Council that will benefit greatly!!

Girls Night In!

I have been very busy making lots of special Cards, 3D items and gifts for supporting the Girls Night In for the Cancer Council on the 8th of October at the Coburg Salvation Army Hall. starting at 2 pm until 6pm, there will be fantastic door prizes, free give-aways, raffles and auctions. With over 400 women supporting the day by attending, there will be a great outcome for the Cancer Council.

Funds raised for Girls Night In, held throughout October, help the

approximately 15,700 women who are diagnosed with breast and gynaecological cancers each year.

Girls Night In was launched nationally in 2005 to raise funds for women’s cancers including breast and gynaecological cancers.

While we are talking about cancer and the domino effect it has on people's lives, get yourself a copy of this month's Woman's Day to see my mum, Anne-Maree Cole on page 67, telling her story of dealing with Breast Cancer, Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment. She makes me proud everyday and her outlook on life is encouraging. I love you very much Mum.

These are some of the items that I have made, thanks to a very generous donation from Stampin' Up! headquarters in Sydney. I received a HUGE box of stamps, inks, embellishments, ribbons, brads, buttons, cardstock and Designer Series Paper! I was so excited and could barely carry the box in when it was delivered. It is very warming to know that the office of Stampin' Up! support the local community.

There are so many ideas of what to make, sometimes making a decision about what to make is the hardest part..once I start 'doing something' the mo-jo kicks in and I'm often up late...lucky I'm on school holidays with my children at the moment!

Big Shot Blog Hop - It's here finally!!

I have been thinking long and hard about what to use for this Blog-Hop, and I am very happy with the result.. Considering how unsure I was of using the Big Shot, I think I have got my head around it, just fine.. of course, I wouldn't feel complete if I didn't present a scrap-page and this one is very special to me!

These beautiful women are, (from the left: Kylie O'Brien, Kim Conway, Me, Mel Sharp and Leonie Schroder) who are all Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. (I hope you don't mind me using our photos girls, I wanted to surprise you!). We met last week at Kim's house and although our time was short, it was great!! Thankyou all for a fun time!

On this page, I have used the compulsory Big Shot with the Top Note Die, (which I cut twice and made an extension so that everyone fitted in the frame), the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and the Timeless Type Alphabet. Don't look too carefully cos the butterflies aren't only beautiful, they cover the joins too! I printed the definition of 'Soiree' on Very Vanilla, using the computer and Tom Bow was the adhesive.

Seeing as Christmas is coming, I thought I would try the new Jolly Holiday DSP and Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Using the Pillow Box Die is so quick! I stamped the sentiment from the Contempo Christmas stamp set on a scrap of Very Vanilla.

I used the new clear mount blocks, which are gorgeous to use and then ran it through the Big Shot, this time using the Lots of Tags - Label 1. The Extra Large Curly Label Punch is for the Old Olive cardstock and then it was mounted with Dimensionals. Ta-dah!!

I have been preparing for a large fundraiser for the Cancer Council, to support women's health and made quite a few of these buttons to put onto fridge magnets. These are made using the Buttons #5 Die and in the future I think I will buy another die to run through the Big Shot all at the same time, rather than one at a time.. I cut 5 layers of cardstock and then a layer of DSP, (Greenhouse Gala shown here) or stamped, (Sock Monkey set) on the layer that will become the face of the button.

After colouring in the stamp, I stuck it altogether, patiently?? and then applied Crystal Effects. (Yes, it was hard work trying to stop the Crystal Effects going into the button holes..that pushed my buttons, I tell ya!) I used Baja Breeze and Melon Mambo on these buttons and then used my favourite tool - the glue gun to adhere the finished product to the magnets!

My last example of how versatile the Big Shot can be is to show off the Magnetic Movers and Shapers items. Mel Sharp and I have been playing with them and with the help of the new Colour Coach, we came up with this effort. What do you think? The Curly Label Set of 2 was used, along with Beautiful Wings and Elegant Lines to give this card a soft touch. I love the doubled butterflies and the Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette goes well with the Baja Breeze. The Just Believe stamp set is growing on me, not one I would reach for first, but I'm learning to love it!

I miss Nicole...

A few weeks ago I was very busy scrapping pages and finished this page is an incredibly fast time! This is one of my closest friends, Nicole who now live in Hobart, Tasmania with her beautiful family. We met at Mother's Group, over 9 years ago and Bass Strait doesn't slow our friendship at all.

Most of our Mother's group flew down to surprise her, she was only expecting me, haha!

Here I matted the photos of Nicole's shocked face with Basic Black and Real Red, to match her clothes. It really was amazing to watch her face change when we all came up to her at the airport, lucky she was sitting!! LOL!

I journalled my words with the Basic Black marker, adding a dot at the end of each letter after stamping with the set: I {Heart} Hearts in Real Red.

This layout was so simple but effective, I love it!

Well, now that you have come from Kristine's wonderful site, (isn't she clever?), here is my creation with the DSP, and my beautiful girl, Rachelle. As soon as I saw this paper in the Greenhouse Gala DSP, I knew Rachelle's photo belonged on it. This page didn't take long to organise, as such, although cutting out all the vines and flowers did, (what else do you do when Hubby is over-seas?). It is on Chocolate Chip cardstock and a couple of Dimensionals were used also. I used the Medium Sizzlets Alphabet Dies with the Big Shot.

The next page that I made is for my eldest son, Kyle, who loves all things tool related! This again was a rather simple layout, using Real Red and Black cardstock and matting them behind the photos. I love the photos to speak to me, rather than heaps of writing, so kept it simple. I used the Medium Sizzlits Dies for the Big Shot, (So much fun to use!!), with the red and black angled behind it.

Thanks for looking at my blog, (my very first Blog Hop!!), it's nice to know I'm not just doing this for my own entertainment! New Techniques to try..

This card is for a friend and I have used Melon Manbo card and ink with white embossing powder to give this effect. The large Medallion card fits just over the edges of the card, so very little else is needed. I also used a stamp from the Gallery set and 'popped' it up onto Dimensionals for further effect.

Because I left my Heat Gun at work for the Father's day presents, I was reduced to using the toaster to work the embossing powder, but at least the house smelt warm and inviting, haha. Sponging the ink over the top gave it a softer look, although I got a bit carried away, I think..

I'm sure the receiver will like it!!

While Brett is Away, I Will Play...

...and look after sick children, that's what i signed up for apparently..But once Darcy was on the mend from croup, I got time to make this card. Of course, that was after my Stampin' table was tidied and re-arranged...cos I needed a reward after that!!

I made this card for a close friend who has just given birth to their second child, a girl this time!! So, with me not being a traditionalist, I used the Medallion stamp again and played with the Rock'n'Roll method. Simply press the stamp onto the lighter of the two colours to be used and when you use the second, roll the ink pad around the edges of the stamp, hence - Rock'n'Roll!! Easy, but be aware of the colours and order you use them. The effect is gorgeous!

The sentiment is from the new stamp set, Bundle of Joy and it's a gorgeous set.

This is the first of five cards that is made from one peice of 6 X 6 Whisper White cardstock, made into my own Designer Series Paper. So easy!! The hardest part was deciding on what design to go with, seeing I was making my own and trying not to mix the peices up!!

The very clever Aly Adcock, (http://inkyaly.blogspot.com/, sent me this link, so that I could work out how this works. I love it and will go back to One Sheet Wonder Tutorial again and again!! Thanks Aly.

Here is the second of the two I have made so far... I think I like this one better, it's so clean and simple. It only uses about a 1/4 of Whisper White and not much of Tempting Torquoise and Rose Red.

I ended up using the other peices for a separate project, so may have to go back to the link and do it all over again..and again..and again.

Inks: Tempting Torquoise and Rose Red.

Stamp Sets: Embrace Life, Whimsical Words and Oval All.

Getting Ready For Father's Day

With Father's Day approaching, I knew it was time to begin making cards for School again, (like for Mother's Day). So began the crazy sessions of cutting cardstock. colour co-ordinating the cards and stamping like mad. Lucky for me, Stampin' Up! products work so well, that all I need to think about is which stamp sets to use and how.. So within two weeks, I had finished 1000 cards for the children of my childrens' school, Parkwood Green P.S.

These are my favourite, having just learnt how to use the Aqua Painters, I'm very happy with how they turned out. Aqua Painters are literally paint-brush type applicators, that look like paint-brushes that you fill with water. When you touch the ink with the nib of the brush, it picks up the colour and you paint with them! Then you brush out the excess colour and move onto the next one, they are fantastic!

Money and Chocolate Holder.

Wow! After three attempts I was given an easier way to make this Money and Chocolate 'Wallet'. Thanks to Leonie Newman's help, I was able to finally complete this for my beautiful sister for her birthday. We are giving her money for her passport, we are heading off to Las Vegas next year for another sister's wedding, yippee!!

This was made with the Kaleidoscope DSP, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange and Pink Passion cardstock. I also used Dazzling Diamonds on the two little flowers, Polka Dot Punches and the 1 3/8, 1 1/4 & Scallop Flower Punches.

Inside, there is DSP that is not stuck down completely so that we can put the money in and the block of chocolate slides in behind. I will try to take another photo tomorrow to show you.

Candle-mania...

Yesterday, Saturday, I went to my Up-Line's again to learn how to put a stamped image onto candles. Oh, my goshness, I cannot believe how easy it is! Having Mel Sharp as a teacher, certainly helps..

We worked on a large candle and a short one, I love the teddy and Christmes stamps .

I just had to play this morning with one a candle, here at home, so chose more Asian girls and I am very happy with the result!

These are the candles my children made after I showed them how easy the process is! (My children are 9, 7 and 6, so it really is easy!) I love how different they are and the colours work really well...and...I guess we are eating by candle-light tonight!

To make these you need white candles, (they show up the colours of the inks as they should be), inks, tissue paper, baking paper, stamp-a-ma-jig, scissors and a Heat Gun. Then have fun choosing the particular stamps to use, I took a long time, so good luck, lol.

My Sweet Cup Asian Girl - Punch Art

How cute is this one? I instantly had to stay up to make the gorgeous girl with the Sweet Treat Cups from Stampin' Up!

I was given this link from Monique on the ESAD group I chat on and have already printed so much from Creations By Patti, no doubt you will see more of her work here.

I made the majority of her with scraps, the largest peice being the card base of Old Olive. I used Pink Passion, Black Stayz On Inks and the Going Grey Marker. The cardstock was Blush Blossom, Pretty In Pink, Real Red and Black. I chalked the cheeks and arms with Pretty In Pink and hand cut out the chop-sticks Almost Grey.

The art of using Punches is becoming more popular and I am hooked! Thid card, which was originally on a box, is made from the following punches: 1 3/4" and 3/4"sizes. Although the card takes a while to punch and colour the peices, once it comes together, it is sooooo worth it, don't you agree?

I got such a buzz from the girls on the ESAD site that I made more!! One is being sent to a friend, for her to pass onto someone special and the others will sit here and watch me stamp some more, haha.

Holiday Program Card No 3

I love this card!! The only thing I changed, was to stamp in the Only Orange, as the base of the card. The children love the fun of the icy-pole, thongs, sun etc from the Just Beachy stamp set!!

I gave them a choice of using Only Orange or Glorious Green packs, strangely many went for the Only Orange..either way, it lookeed great!!

Inks: Only Orange, although here is Stayz On.

Cardstock: Only Orange.

Stamp Sets: Just Beachy and Short and Sweet.

Accessories: Adhesives, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Punches.

Holiday Program Card No 2.

This card had the children working hard, although by the time they were doing this one, they were 'so into it!!'. Under the rectangle of Night of Navy is Dimensionals, to lift it up and some children chose to not use the Whisper White strip, instead just stamping words onto the lower right of the Tempting Torquoise. Others used the Whisper White and put it in the middle of the card and that certainly worked too!!

Inks: Tempting Torquoise.

Stamp Sets: Wagon Full of Fun.

Cardstock: Tempting Torquoise, Whisper White, Night of Navy and Home Made DSP, (Designed Series Paper)

Accessories: Roller technique with Spot On roller, Adhesives and Dimensionals.

Holiday Program Card No 1.

So this is the first of the 3 cards I am making with many many children during the July school holidays, with Moreland City Council, (only 270 of my closest friends, who happen to be children). It's been a pleasure working with the children from 6 different Holiday centres, there questions are halarious sometimes and they keep myself and my neice very busy!!

Inks: Riding Hood Red.

Stamp Sets: Holly Jolly Christmas.

Cardstock: Red Riding Hood and Whisper White.

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds and adhesives, glue pen and tape.

There were a couple of children who chose not to make a Christmas card in July, ('Why?'), so they change their picture to one out of The Wagon Full of Fun instead, it worked really well.

Well, here is my first post in a very loooong time, but then a kitchen fire will do that to you...so now, thanks to some inspiration from the very special woman at the ESAD site,(Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators forStampin' Up!), I am finally spending more time here.

It's amazing how much of a mess even just a small fire can do...cleaning walls, curtains, couches, benches and floors...and don't get me started about my precious cardstock, ordered for the Holiday program, ruined!! ;(

9 weeks on and we finally got a new oven and haven't we been cooking up a storm, 'yummio' as my boy says!!

But hang about, check the latest photos out and I will keep updating with more photos and techniques...

I Have Been Busy...FINALLY!!

Here are a few cards that I've made, all within the last two weeks...something has made my creative juices flow?? I'm not complaining, just glad really.

This colour combination was suggested by Mel, I wasn't a fan of it, but I've had lots of interest already with those who do like it! (Pink is NOT my thing..). The Graden Whimsy stamp set is one of my first sets, so it was nice to let it see ink again, especially with the Rose Red and Pretty in Pink colours. Let me know what you think?

How simple is this layout? This was another idea by Mel Sharp, except I cut out EVERY fish, so I added alot more time to the process. In the end, the product is fantastic.

I only wish I had an old SU stamp set that said 'Best Fishes', instead of Best Wishes. I would have liked the play on words. I made about 10 of these, to sell at Williamstown Craft Market.

Embrace Life!! It's what we should all do!! This stamp set is not normally something I would move towards, but I thought I would give it a go and I like it! The colours are Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand and Kiwi Kiss and the small flowers are raised, as is the 'Embrace Life' sentiment. I like the outcome.

Can I share with you how much I love this card!! It's clean, simple, quick to make and touches my heart. I had a special friend who's dog passed away and wish that I had this stamp for her card. Thecolours of Black, Whisper White, Sahara Sand and Real Red is great too!

Obviously, this is the same card, without the "Passing of your best friend" sentiment. It still works! Just not sure about the red collar?

I Have a Secret Sister!

This is the second of the two cards, I received from my Secret Sister, (a group run by and for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.) The idea is that I send a card to my SS, without her knowing who I am and at the same time, I recieve cards and gifts from another SS, who I will learn about after a three month period. I love that it pushes my boundaries to try to please my SS and likewise for the girl that has me

The woman that I am sending to doesn't like Bold Brights, (MY FAVOURITE!!), so to tone down my cards for her pleasure, is a challenge..I love it!

Here is the first card I recieved from my SS. I got both of these this week and look forward to the next installments. Her work is beautiful and it is so nice to have something arrive that doesn't require payment :) She also sent a note to say she realised the DSP was retired..sadly. I love that it is helping my children learn that it's nice, just to send something to make someone feel nice...

Getting Ready For St. Valentine's Day

Mel Sharp, my upline got me thinking of St Val's day, so suddenly I had some ideas...and help from Splitcoaststampers!! After nearly 3 months off with no inspiration, it was time to get Stampin' again!! even though St. Valentine's Day is not something I would usually not even glance at, I am jumping in head first for those who do like the day. Here are some of my ideas, thanks for looking.

This card was going to be a mini quilt, but my measurements didn't allow for it. In the end I used the peircing tool and was going to 'join' the stitches but decided against it, too. All it needs now, I think is a bow on the end of the pin? And maybe something should have been raised on some Dimensionals, (thick, padded tape use to lift a part of a card to add extra 'wow')What do you think? And even though I usually don't like pink at all, I think it's worked out okay..I'm pretty happy with it :)

Card Stock: Cameo Coral and Regal Rose.

Ribbon: It needs a small bow of Regal Rose or Cameo Coral??

I am loving the color combination of Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette and the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set..especially for this theme! The simplicity of the Short & Sweet stamp set is always a winner too!

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, (textured) and Pink Pirouette.

Stamp Set: Short & Sweet, I {Heart} Hearts from the Summer Mini catalague.

Inks: Chocolate Chip.
Ribbon: An imitation Pink Pirouette try hard ribbon, as Im still building my supply up. (it's what was left in the scraps of ribbon I have from my scrapping days.)

Accessories: Adhesives, Mini Glue Dots, Scraps for the tree, Word Window punch, Eyelet Border punch, Paper Snips.

Here is the same but different...sometimes you don't fix it if it's not broken!! I liked the simple layout so just chose to make a few changes. This time I used a larger range of the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and the tried and true Garden Whimsy. It was fiddly but worth it, it's easy to get into a system.

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette, scraps of Pink Pirouette for the flowers and stems.

Stamp Set: I {Heart} Hearts from the Summer Mini catalague, Garden Whimsy.

Inks: Chocolate Chip.

Ribbon: Try hard Pink Pirouette copy.

Accessories: Adhesives, Dimensionals, Eyelet Border punch, Paper Snips, Mini Glue Dots.

Another card to love - It's so simple and great for those who don't like all the mushy stuff out there! Thanks to my new best friend, the Colour Coach, I matched up the Old Olive with the Certainly Celery ink and cardstock, then added Pink Passion. I made 7 cards within a short time, insert happy dance here!!

Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Scraps of Whisper White for the heart.

Stamp Set: Wild About You and I {Heart} Hearts from the Summer Mini catalague.
Inks: Certainly Celery and Pink Passion.

This card is a little formal for me but I still think it is rather nice, in either Riding Hood Red or Basic Grey base... They didn't take too long to finish, especially with Stacey's help,(Thankyou!)

With no words on the front, this card could be for any occasion. All in all a very effective card.

I made this card, or one very similar for a friend who had spinal surgery, knowing that it would cheer her up and I'm thinking it came together well!
